I want to obtain the names of the ancestors who are buried inside this structure. They were well-off financially. So I am still seeking the name and address of the cemetery...

Re: Italian names
Thanks again. I have a question about surnames that are very similar. My father's surname in Italy is Agnoloni from Tuscany region. There is also a surname Angeloni from this same region. Would these names represent the same family in ancient times? I ask this because my mother's surname is Pinney. ...

In fact, the last town and last church provided me far more info than I requested. First, I would suggest that you first determi...

Re: orphans & illegitimate children in italy 1850
It is my understanding that the illegitimate child was not given a nobility name but rather the unwed mother/family sometimes explained the illegimate birth by reporting that the father was a person of nobility. I consider the naming of illegitimate children to be an important topic for those intere...

Re: orphans & illegitimate children in italy 1850

Re: orphans & illegitimate children in italy 1850
If the infant was not adopted then either placed in a foster home or orphanage why would the town where the child was abandoned differ from the town wherein the infant was placed? Also was there an age when the town would no longer be financially responsible for the child? Thank you again for the in...
