Re: Hard to find record

Hi Lisa,

If you know when & where he died try letting his obituary and/or death record. Also, social security record should have his parents listed if he applied.
Hope this helps.

Newark, NJ????), but here are some records that may help someone. http://www.motherhubbardscupboard.net/genclass/ireland/passind.html http://www.familysearch.org/eng/library/fhlcatalog/superma...

Re: Passanger List

Not sure what the letter B" means, but when the name(s) are crossed out, it means that person(s) did not travel on that ship.

is there a column on the 1911 passenger list that asks about being in the US previously?

Re: Giampaoli Family

You may know this:

Ciciana is a hamlet of the city of Lucca. As such, to trace the family, you can rent/order the civil records (1866-1935) for this locality through your local Family History Center.

If you need information on FHL and/ or on ordering the films, let us know.

Re: Buttitta and Merlo Surname

Hi Mary, You should be able to trace the family using the available FHL films for the town of Casteldaccia. They are for the civil records & cover 1821-1903. Available films: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titlefilmnotes&columns=*%2C0%2C0&...
