Re: where to stay in castelvetere in val fotore
My grandmother was born in 1896 so she would be the next generation. Her father came to the States around 1900 and brought his family. My grandmother lived here in early childhood. Her father died and the family went back to Castelvetere. I have been trying to track down her father. I found a Domeni...

Re: where to stay in castelvetere in val fotore
My Grandmother was Maria Giuseppa Brasile, born in Castelvetere. Her sister Maria Nicola Brasile also married a Bibbo. I have not been able to find out the name of her father because he died when she was very young and her mother remarried. Her mother was Rosaria Iarossi. Your Maria Pasquala might b...

Re: Pierri in america
Hi and welcome,
There are quite a few Giuseppe Pierris who came through Ellis Island. Do you have an approximate date of birth or town of origin for your relative?

Re: Love the new site
Hi all, I agree that the font in the signature should be smaller or different in some other way. I find it hard to separate the message from the sig. I'm still getting used to the new site. I think it will be fine when we all get used to the changes. Thank you Edmondo for all your hard work in...

Re: Need Help Reading an Italian Name
The document is too small for me to read. Why don't you just give us the varied spellings and perhaps someone can figure it out. We are pretty good at puzzles.

Here are the requirements from the Philly consulate. They are pretty specific.

Re: Bellisario's from Gamberale, Chieti
Just a question for you. The manifest I posted of Angela is definitely the wife of Felice. Her last name is Di Salvo ( I believe. ) The manifest was prepared in Italy and that surname appears in Gamberale. Are we talking about the same person? The name may have changed to De Salvo in the US, but if ...

The reason marty referred to the old thread was because you did not give us the names or information about the people you are still searching for.
If you do this, we will be able to help you find your relatives.
