Surname Monjack - is this really Mongiat?

Mongiat is a family name. I researched the name and found that my relatives passed through England to the US early in the 20th century.

Is Monjack a bastardization of the surname Mongiat?

Please say it isn't so!

Need translation can anyone help?

Carissima,
domani spedirò un certificato di morte su modello internazionale e uno "normale".
Rimango a disposizione fino al 30 maggio 2008. Dal 1^ giugno sarò un pensionato.
salutissimi.

Re: i'm looking for my relative Antonio Argenta

If your relative was present in USA, and was not naturalized in 1940, there should be an alien registration card record. It didn't matter if they had petitioned and were in process of getting naturalization, every foreigner had to register with US post office in 1940 and then they would receive card ...

Re: i'm looking for my relative Antonio Argenta

Reason for France departure: Alot of Italians migrated first to France and Germany for work. (I have distant relatives in Germany). So there are probably records of them in France as well. Anyways, right before France gave the Statue of Liberty to the USA, for in part, appreciation of California gra...
