Re: Thank you! And how to say "Thank You!"?

Thank you suanj! I will find the nearest FHL library and order the microfilm for viewing. I hope you don't mind another question... Where are the original records, that make up this microfilm, kept? In the various churches? In Rome? I guess what I'm asking is, once I find the record in the FHL micro...

Re: Thank you! And how to say "Thank You!"?

Much thanks again, suanj! I am in your debt! m(_ _)m My GGF, Angelo Sodini, was born (I think) April 15th, 1864, in the town of San Gennaro, a 'frazione' of Capannori, Lucca province. "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop_of_Lucca" seems to imply that San Gennaro is one of the 362 Parishes ...

I found the Italian for the "Certificate of Citizenship". Would this be correct?:

Re: Great grandparents commune(s) of birth and marriage?

suanj, I am sorry to be a pest! From my reading, it appears that the Chicago consulate is one that requires GGF's Certificate of Citizenship. If you have time could you please tell me how to request this in Italian? And I will add it as item number 4 to the letter you posted above. Thank you again f...

Re: Great grandparents commune(s) of birth and marriage?

When mailing the Stato Civile, is it OK to "bundle" requests? That is, I would like to request my GGF's Birth and Marriage certificate, as well as my GGM's Birth certificate (I believe they were both born in San Gennaro). Would it be OK to send both requests in one envelope? Or, if someone...
