Re: Trocciola-campobasso

Yes, their ages did get my attention, especially hers.
Since Luigi was born abt. 1831, I would guess there were probably many more children born to Pasquale and Rosalia. Unfortunately, I haven't rented any birth record films for the 1830's and early 1840's that could be researched at the FHC.

Re: Family Search Restrictions

A friend has brought the following to my attention. You can still view 5 of the state archives and search the records from your home computer. The only thing you can no longer do is download or save a copy of a record. http://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/ 1. click on the box at the lower left c...

Re: Angiela Maria Santalucia immigration

Hi Suanj, :)

Thank you for that wonderful research. I was really struggling to figure out this whole puzzle.
However, I do have a question. How common was it for daughters to travel under mother's maiden name? I don't believe I have seen that before.

Thank you

Re: Munno and Vollaro

Hi Jean, This is the best I can do, but you will be able to get the gist of it. "For case I am connected in a page of your discussion (you see post of 25 May 2010) in which the meaning of the Italian word asks to know itself "faenzaro" guide like profession or occupation (occupation) ...

Re: Pietro Vernesoni immigration

Darn it, I think you are right, Marty. I was hoping to get her maiden name but she had already been in U.S. for 6 years and had at least 1 child here. I found what I believe to be their original immigration on 26 Sep 1903. Aside from not knowing Maddalena's maiden surname, other mysteries abound. Fa...

Re: Angiela Maria Santalucia immigration

Hi T. I actually got to the Santalucia family thru the Pantano family. I thought that Maria was Rachele's mother. I never considered the possibility of Maria having the same original surname. You have made me rethink the whole relationship. :( Thank you for the additional leads. I will pursue them a...
