Vincenzo v Charles
Why are Italian men named and baptized Vincenzo (var. forms) called Charles or Charlie during their lives. Ive noticed this not only in my family's records but in others as well--generations of men.

concetta's maiden name may have been Servachio. Noticed that this Junda family lived on Beech street where other members of the family lived in 1930. let me outline for you... Re: Giunta---also found a Concetta GUInta and son arrived NY 25 Nov. 1907, ship- Republic. Manifest indicates she was detained, "dispositon" ___? unreadable__lost. record also indicates "to meet husband". I have not checked Ellis IS records yet.

Per family oral history Congetta, Paolo and their daughter Rose-assumed- arrived in New Orleans and lived in Napoleonville for some unknown time. Paolo was born abt. 1967 in Sicily. Concetta died in Pueblo, Colorado as did Paolo/Paul. Rose's place of birth is also in question, it may have been Sicil...
