This is an odd one. I am looking for the background of the two men who were killed on a barge in the Hudson River explosion. They were Anthony Amato, 60yo of Secaucus, N.J. and Anthony De Francisco, 40, of Sparkill, N.Y. Both are family names, but I can not place them. Any help from those with long ...

I am looking for the descendants of Orazio Joseph Pensabene and Marianna Amato Pensabene who came from Serra San Bruno, Italy about 1897-98. they settled in Brooklyn and had children Maria, Andrew joseph, Dominick,Orazio Joseph, Jr., Fortunata, and Concetta.

Nazzarena Belcamino born May 26, 1910. file 1910 #77. Sofia was still there. Trying to find if any of them came to the US later.

I am looking for my great aunt and her family. Her name is Maria Sofia Amato, born in 1870 in Serra San Bruno, Calabria. She married a Salvatore Belamino (sp?) in Serra San Bruno 10 June 1897. That's where I lose them. Can anyone help me find out what happened to them?

Is there an archives office somewhere that has records of real estate transactions in Serra San Bruno 100+ years ago? My g-g aunt supposedly sold land about 1900. Would love to know if the rumor is true.

My great grandfather, Giuseppe Amato, was born in Serra San Bruno in 1876 or 1877. His father was Giuseppe Amato and his mother, Teresa Pace. I am looking for names of his siblings to find if any of them came to America. Any help is appreciated.

This was the spelling of the name Sam used in 1923. Spadafora sounds better. But he was young when he came over and maybe did not spell well. Would the second spelling match any data I have?
