Hello, my grandgather was not from Italy but he had a nickname he carried all his life. It would be written in Italian as ''Fregno''. No they weren't born in the city. They came in city around 1905. So i don't know will i find them in these documents ???

Be persistant. Send them a letter every 2 months. I had same experience, tehy would not answer to me but i was persistant and they had to gave in.
