Hi,
I am trying desperately to find my grandfather\'s name of his mother and father. I know he had two brothers that I found out, but nothing on his parents. Is there anywhere I can write to in Italy to get a copy of his birth certificate. He was born in Cittadella on June 2, 1884. His name was Angelo Vangelista. Any information you can supply me with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much and have a grat day!
JoJo

Write to the Ufficio di Stato Civile in the town of origin which is Cittadella. One is in Veneto and the other in Calabria so which region is the town of origin??? When you find out then obtain the postal code and write in Italian for the birth record which willl contsain mothers and fathers names. Write in Italian (see www.italianancestry.com, part 3) for form letters in Italian and include a self addressed enmvelope and $5.00 for stamps. Peter

Dear Peter,

Thank you so very much for all the wonderful information you gave to me about obtaining a birth certificate of my grandfather, Angelo Vangelista from Cittadella Italy. I really need to know his parents names, and I did go to the italianancestry.com, part 3 for the form letters. I know you told me to find out which regions is the town of origin, Veneto being one and the other being Calabria. I think it is Veneto, not sure. I will try that one first.

Again, your help has been a blessing to me. Again, thank you and have a wonderful day!
