trying to find out more info on my gallo family from naples

grandfather was alphonzo ponozerelli gallo born naples italy(south) born july 26 1906. his mother was angelina ....he had two brothers joe gallo and rocky. they came over to either new york or boston in 1913-1915... i am not sure i think he was 9 years old..he ended up in natick massachusetts and served in the army ,,,and died at a young age of 52 years old. i know he worked in boston for perini construction... iam am not sure about the rest...is thier someone out thier who knew my grandfather or his family......his wife my mothers mom....was ethel adiline ames.of natick massachusetts.....

I agree it is odd that Alfonso's middle name is Ponozerelli(?) if his mother's maiden name is Andreottola. I originally thought the Ponozerelli name was similar to the b-i-l that Angeo was joining in 1912 (Pezzulo). But it really isn't close.

I can't find Angelo's WWI Card or 1920 census, probably in Suffolk County MA.
In 1930 Alfonso may still be in Suffolk County MA or married in Middlesex County MA.

Ponozerelli is wrong, but it exist Panzarella... frankly I believe that what you found well it could be right... sometime the memories abt the ancestors are a bit no correct... however the only Alphonse probable that I found matching with your finding... and it are no other Alphonse born after the 1900s... I found only 1 ... also the profession matching... maybe kitty can say us more...

I wasn't sure - this family was really tough to track down.
Your record with Alfonso's (Alphonso) birth year as 1910 really helped.
I was looking for an Alfonso b 1906 +/- 2yrs.
Like you I hope Kitty has more information or can confirm some of the information that we found.

i found that my great-grandfather brought him over by boat first. something about the doctors sick bay...then the rest of the family came over after i believe he came over from trevico may 1st 1921,to ellis island then boston, then ashland or natick...he served in the army as a cook 1942-1946 enlisted in boston...he worked construction for a company called pernini and sons...he was burried in framingham edgell grove cemetery & mosusoleum...he was 46yrs 11 months old when he died. i was looking more about his young life in italy a copy of his birth record...his mother angelina and father angelo, brothers joesph,rocco,sisters mary,rose and baby brother john....i dont know his grand parents names ....this is all i have found out so far.

correction my grandfather was born in 1910.trevico. died in august 29th 1957 he was 46 years old 11 months when he died...his dad was angelo gallo and his mom was angelina.
he had 3 brothers and two sisters...joesph,rocco,john, rose,mary....my mother never knew a uncle john i think he died young age. they lived in ashland mass.my grandfather alphonso gallo served in the us army ..1938-1946 my mother rosemary gallo was born in natick mass april 2,1939.... trying to find out more about when they lived in trevico and thier birth certificates ect... any info would be appreciated...i am told i look like my grandfather including beautymark in left eyebrow..lol....he looks like the famous actor danny thomas....wish i had known him...
