Migliore and Barone families

I am looking for any information I can find on these and related families. From my research I believe both Clemente Migliore and his wife Rosa Barone were born in Caserta, Italy. Rosa came to the USA with their son in 1886. I would love to communicate with anyone who is interested in these families.

Did you need any help in locating US records (census, military registration, naturalization, ship manifests)
If you need direction for Italian records, since Caserta is both a province and comune (town), you'll need to be sure that you have the correct comune.
Almost all Italian records are kept at the comune level (birth, marriage, and death acts)

Did they also have a daughter Angelina Migliore SIMONETTI?

Thank you for the information. I am the webmaster for Ron's Roots so that info is known to me. However, the information about the 1920 census and the draft cards is new to me and greatly appreciated. Do you know the NARA roll number for the migliore entry? I do have the social security information for Angelina and it declares that she was born in Salerno, Italy.

Have you located Giuseppe's naturalization paperwork?
As you probably know, if it was before 1906 it may not have much information on it.
Which records did you need a NARA number for?

I noticed on your family pages on ancestry that you have a birth location for Rosa Barone?
If you still think it may be the correct comune ...

Not sure if there is a connection here, but my grandfather Pietro Linquiti (alt = Linguiti, Linquidi), who was born in Baronissi in 1877, maried a Maria Barone in Salerno, Italy on April 9, 1910. They then moved to New York. He passed away in 1945 and she passed away in the mid-1960s. Baronissi is only about 11km north of Salerno.

I don't know but it might be promising. I'm trying to run down my Rosa Barone through the Italian sources. Hopefully I can get a birth cert and then trace back. Have you been able to trace Maria at all?

Not yet. I am thinking that since the wedding was in Salerno, I need to get a copy of the marriage record which will give me birth town & year of birth +- a year or two for Maria -- then I would look for a birth certificate, and if that works, I'd have Maria's parents. Thoughts?

If Maria is from Salerno the record of her marriage will be noted on her birth registration so you could get two for the price of one.

Hi, my name is Arnaud Digard, I'm french and i'm living in Normandy. I'm looking for family member of Sam J Migliore from Cleveland, who was a great soldier in the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airbone during WW2. Sam died in Normandy on 1944 june the 13th during the battle of Carentan (normandy Peninsula).
