Misiani - Reggio Calabria

Hello, my name is Angelina Matthews and recently (2 months ago today) my Uncle Alfredo Antonio Misiani passed away age 54 in Perth Western Australia. One of his wishes was to search and explore our genealogy and so I have taken up the challenge.....He was born in Gioia Tauro, calabria in 1948 and has one only and surviving sister Anna Maria Olga Misiani. Their mother Cristina Principato passed away last September age 76. Their father Aldo Vittorio Emmanuelle Misiani passed away approx in 1951 age 33. He served in the Italian Navy and returned after service in WWII. Aldo and Cristina married in 1945 (approx). Aldo\'s fathers\' name was Antonio and only sister was named Olga. His mother\'s name may have been Maria. Aldo\'s father was one of 4 brother\'s (approx) and possibly was the only one or two that lived the longest of the sibling\'s. Very few of the Misiani males survived to reach a ripe old age.It is the Misiani root that i would like to explore and would love to hear from anybody re information.

Regards

Angelina Matthews

There is only one Misiani surnamed person in Gioia Tauro and I would go to www.paginebianche.it and insert the misiani name in the first line and Guoia Tauro in the third and click cerca and then write her in Italian or simple english and ask her if she is related and what she knows. You can also write to the town of Gioia Tauro at the Ufficio di Stato Civile there and requiesting birth and marriage records provided you know fulklk names and dates or years of birth. Peter
