Looking for Zimaro surname info

Can anyone help me find any info on the surname \'Zimaro\'? My deceased grandfather, Patrick Zimaro, came to Canada (Sudbury, Ontario) from Italy when he was 3 or 4 years old. I think his father\'s name was Luigi. I don\'t remember when he was born, but it was probably about 80-90 years ago.

Zimaro is a non existent surname. It does not appear on any surname dictionary for Italy. This suggests that there is an error in spelling and I suggest you do some additional research to come up with a town of origin in Italy or, perhaps, a point of entry into the USA or Canada. What does family oral hisotry have to say about him?. Peter

Thanks, Peter. I\'ll have to look into it further, maybe ask my grandmother if she has any more info on her deceased husband.
