There are 3 persons in Bernalda with the Milano surname and can be reached thru the www.paginebianche.it website by inserting surname in the first line and Bernalda in the thrid line and click cerca and the list will apppear. You may wish to write to these people in Italian or very simple english sentences (english is second langfuage) and ask themif they are related to you. You can aslo obtain documents from Bernalda by going to the www.italianancestry.com website in part 3 under calabrese resources and submit a request with a self addressed envelope and a $5.00 for stamps contrivbution since the service is free. Are you sure about the spelling of PaolicellA (couldit be I). Peter

TYhe address for documents is Ufficio di Stato Civile, Comune di Bernalda, Postale 75012, Provincia Matera, Basilicata, Italy. The form letters will allow you to request whatever documents you wish. Figure $5.00 document as suiggested by the Mormon church people. Peter

Peter, thank you so much for the information. I will pursue all contacts as you suggested. My grandmothers name is the only spelling I have of hers. Her first name was Guilia.

Thank you, again

There is no Paolicella in all of Italy but there are 200 in just the region of Basilicata where Bernalda is located so it suggests that her name is Paolicelli. Peter

sometimes I get nervous in the service when you are about to miss something for want of an \"i\". Genealogy on the computer is not forgiving and if you miss one letter in a name or place you will get a negative response remember that if you don\'t already know it. Peter
