Can anyone shed any light on what life might have been like for the wife of an Italian captain in the Khedive of Egypt's navy in 1866. This particular captain Federico Maria FEDRIGO is mentioned in the history of what I understand is about a college for navy personel on the island that was Lussin Grande in 1869 but has a Croatian name now.
As well as wanting to know what his wife's life would have been like, I am also keen to know all there is to know about FEDERICO MARIA FEDRIGO who went on to have the title Pasha and oversee ships being renovated in England and be mentioned at the opening of Parliament and also a guest at St James's Palace in London. He died in Milan in 1886. SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE IN MILAN MUST HAVE COME ACROSS THIS MAN. PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND OUT ABOUT HIS LIFE AFTER ALEXANDRIA!.
THANK YOU in anticipation.
