OK, so this is the birth certificate I've found. It wasn't in the exact place that it was supposed to be but it was in the correct order according to date.

So I Emailed a few weeks ago and I haven't heard back yet. I wonder whether they received it or not or whether they are processing this information. Does anybody know how long I should wait before being concerned? Is there a better way to order these documents?

Emailing to a small Comune is never a great idea. I would write a letter, and enclose an addressed envelope. Be sure to say it is for citizenship purposes.

Will I have to pay a fee or something?? I would gladly pay but I'm not sure what the cost would be and I'm not wanting to wait for months only to find that I need to pay something.

No fee, but be sure to enclose an addressed envelope and a copy of some photo ID.

That's strange that there is no fee but that's also great to know! Thank you very much!
