Ciao a tutti!
I'm a new arrive on Italian Genealogy, having made my registration just today.
Your site is absolutely interesting and well made. Congratulations!
As many of you, I am actually continuing a big research about my ancestors, started by my uncle and actually dating back to 1800.
However, I started founding some problems, because two of my relatives immigrated to the United States back in 1900-1910, and I am Italian currently living in Nola, Campania, Italy.
Our surname is Napolitano, but my ancestors are probably called with the family name of Napolitani, the original surname changed by a mistake in an unknown period. They were all born in Camposano, Naples, Italy.
The grandchildrens of those ancestors should live in Asbury Park, NJ, but I never met them. If somebody know "Napolitano" or "Napolitani" people in that area, or elsewhere, his help would be appreciated. In exchange, I can help you giving info about Italy and suggests about how to conduct researches in my homeland.
Unfortunately, seems that genealogic researches find more interest in the U.S. rather than in Italy, but a good research can be however done.
Thank you!
