my grandfather was guiseppi DeFilippe and he came from castelle de mar in sicily. If there are any relatives or anyone with some information that can help me get started with my family research please respond. He married angelina calleca and they ivved in Willianburg, brooklyn,ny. They had five children: jerry, jean, john, joseph and stella. My grandfather worked in a candy factory as well as a shoe factory while my grandmother did seamstress work. My father was a barber and worked with Jimmy Lauri at a shop in Greenpoint. My father married louise diesso of greenpoint whose family was in the sawdust business. I don't know if any of this helps but I'm uptting it out there to get some information that may stir some memories . thanks, I can be reached by PM.
