Atrani, Italy in 1913

My grandfather's occupation in 1913 in Atrani, Italy was listed as "car salesman".
Is that even possible?
I don't know much about the automobile industry but were there enough cars in the tiny village of Atrani (much less usable roads) to make a car salesman a viable occupation?

The best I can make out "leroniu" or leroneu". The letter "n" in the middle looks strange so I can't really make it out.

Why don't you post the document? "leroniu" or leroneu" do not mean anything in Italian..

This is my grandfather's marriage certificate. It lists his occupation as car salesman. I am questioning that.

This is what I got from the clerk in Atrani. I was told that the translation for my grandfather's occupation was Car Salesman. I am questioning that since it was 1913.
First of all, did I attach this properly and can it be opened?
And then, is the translation wrong?

I read "LEVORIERE" which is a not existing word.

Maybe if you ask Atrani to send you a "Copia integrale dell'atto di Matrimonio" you will get a photocopy of the actual record and some one will be able to define the profession...

Definitely it is not car salesman = venditore di automobili.

One suggestion was:"it looks like lerosiere which does not mean anything so I think she meant caroziere, which mean cart repairman but I can’t say for sure".
That makes much more sense to me.
