Translate promise to marry

Postby JOHN08 » 22 May 2012, 04:23

My translation of the "Promise to Marry" on 9 March 1845:

Antonio De Sanctis, age: 36, profession: peasant farmer, born and lived in Lama, son of Pietro De Sanctis, profession: peasant farmer, lived and died in Lama, died 3 Sept.1841, wife: Rosa Di Falco, peasant farmer. How is Nicola De Sanctis related to Antonio De Sanctis?

Any help in translating the rest would be appreciated. Also, have I made errors in my translation?

John

How is Nicola De Sanctis related to Antonio De Sanctis? The deceased Nicola De Sanctis is the paternal grandfather, a peasant farmer, resided and died in Lama on 11 March 1810 at age 80.

In my opinion the name is Antonio, not Antonino.
