Any chance you all would be able to help with the other side of the family? I'm looking into the Corso's and Giacobbe's who are my great grandparents. So far this is what I have -
Carmela Giacobbe - born in Milazzo (1865), died in Brookly, NYC (1924). I also have her birth record which someone else translated for me: Italy, Messina, Civil Reg...State Archive), 1820-1865
Milazzo
Nati 1865 (Registro 722)

She married Stefano Corso born in Milazzo (1871) died in Brooklyn (1946).
I have their marriage certificate, also translated by another very helpful person on this site - Marriage of Stefano Corso and Carmella Giacobbe

Unfortunately, records for Milazzo don't go back past 1865. However, I found a record on Ancestry.com that might be Stefano's father. Here is the record -
ID: I524261186
Name: Antonino CORSO
Given Name: Antonino
Surname: Corso
Sex: M
Birth: 1 Oct 1853 in Termin Imerese,Italy (PA)
Baptism: 1 Oct 1853 Parish of Termini FHL 1688281 Atti 528
Note: The 1852-1854 civil birth records of Termini Imerese, Palermo, Italia(microfilm copy by the Genealogical Society of Utah, FHL #1688281)contained Atti #528, the birth of Antonino Corso, filed on 1 October 1853in Termini. The birth was reported by Agostino Corso, 30 years old, and aporter, living in Termini. The male child was born to VincenzaChiaramonte, his wife, 30 years old, living with her husband on 1 October1853. The right column shows that Antonino was baptized
on 1 October 1853in the parish of Termini.
I think that might be father which would be helpful, but I can't find anything to confirm it, and I don't know if the father would have been born in Termini, but then Stefano was born in Milazzo. Any ideas?
Can't thank you all enough for all your help!
