Birth Record

Postby JOHN08 » 29 Jun 2012, 23:48

I am having trouble with the birth record for Domenico DeSanctis.

Midwife declared on 5 Nov 1816, birth of Domenico DeSanctis, father: Pietro DeSanctis, mother: Rosa DiFalco. I see the surname "Fato" also listed, which I cannot related to the DeSanctis family. How is Nicola related to the DeSanctis family?

Thanks for any help.

John

Hi, John :-D

I've looked at the record and I can't see the "Fato" that you mention.
Can you tell me what line in the record?

Also, it appears there may have been twins, the first of which was named Nicola, and this one, the second, being given the name Domenico (you probably already knew that :-) )

"...due maschi, al primo di quale si è dato il nome di Nicola..."
[two males, the first of which is given the name of Nicola ...]

Tessa,

Sorry, I thought the word "dato" was "fato."

Tessa, thank you for your help.
