Any help with any family members

Postby walkerf1 » 12 Aug 2012, 13:42

Hello i know my great grandfather was Pietro Tamburrini born in Atina in 1868. I have recently found out his parents were Domencio Tamburrini and Virgilia Accivile from Scanno. Domencios parents were Pasquale Tamburrini and Rosa Spinelli and Pasquales parents were Fortunata Tamburrini and Carmilia/Carmela Tortalani how can i find out any more about these people to pass on to my children. Many thanks Fran

Here are some lins that have helped me through the past two years(and of course the people on this site as well are extremely helpful).

This first one is a Surname search map. Type in the name in the top left and click Trova. I have already mapped the name you have provided.

The second is a good source for researching your roots.

You have gone through civil records if you have that much info on your family Scanno (L'Aquila), 1809-1865 records from Family History Library
Civil registration (birth records, banns, marriage records, death records, miscellaneous records) from Scanno, L'Aquila, Italy. Before 1809 you will have go through church to find earlier records which might be listed on the earlier civil records if the birth records have the baptism info on them.
