Armand and Jeanne/Joan (tossi) Lagneau

I can find record in 1920 of them coming to USA on Ellis Island records. They were in their late 40's when they arrived. So it seems I could find something. I have searched every which way through Familysearch.org to come up with any other information. Armand supposedly Belgian. Jeanne/Joan Italian.

Joanie Lagneau (wife of Armand) has a place of birth listed as "Solbirona, Italy" (don't know this name)
She is leaving HER brother "Deseret Deanchamp" in Paris ?
Going to Kokomo to Armand's son Vincente La Biancha ?
Where does the TOSSI surname come in?


EDITED to add:

Located an additional ship manifest for Joan Tosi Lagneau in 1929.
Sailing from Buenos Aires, Argentina on Sept 5, and arriving NY Sept 24 on SS American Legion
Her last permanent residence is listed as Kokomo, Indiana, but her travel visa issued in Buenos Aires.
Her place of birth is listed as SARTIRANO, Italy.
Possbilities...

Sartirana Lomellina, comune of Sartirana Lomellina - province: Pavia - region: Lombardy
Sartorona, comune of Pieve Porto Morone - province: Pavia - region: Lombardy

She is listed as married, so Armand may not have died until after 1929.

Armand and Jean/Joan (Tosi) Langeau - USA 1920

Matilda - Daughter born Nov 1981 in Buenos Aires. I have written reference to Balcarce. Find a Matilde Tossi, 4 yo in 1895 census. Listed other Tossi's..cousins? siblings? No mention in census of Lagneau. Was Matilda born Tossi in Argentina? Grew up in France with Lagneau/Tossi. Adopted?

Matiilda Lagneau- Vincenzo Lo Biancho travels in 1920 to US to Kokomo. Lists Bruno Antoinne as relative. Matilda has son, Armondo Giovanni LoBianco Sep 1921. Vincenzo listed as father. Tried looking for marriage cert. online. No luck. Lagneau's came over 1920 list Vincenzo as son-in-law.

Matilda marries Salvatore (sam) Sciortino, Kokomo, who adopts Armando at 18mos. We have adoption papers registered with Buenos Aires Consulate in Chicago states "Vincenzo deserted her". Armando chages name to Armand J. White after HS graduation.

We have always been curious about the Argentina connection. We have Armand passport 4-5 yrs old. Family lore has him traveling back to Argentina. Would fit with info you found of Joan Lagneau in 1929. Where did you locate that passage info. Would Armando Sciortino be listed. Matilda Sciortino? My mother, Yolanda Sciortino was born in 1924 but we don ever remember he saying she went there.

I did not see any Sciortino passengers on that page, but maybe they are somewhere else on the manifest?
