The occupation of the witness Bove looks to me like viciere-viceroy. I have never before seen this in a document and am not sure that it is correct.

Effettivamente Marty ha ragione è usciere (usciere comunale) che si trova spesso come testimone.
In inglese non è "usher" come pensate.

Il nome è Francesco non Francesca (i testimoni erano sempre uomini).

I guess I have a mental block when I see "usciere" Tessa is correct that Francesco Bove is a witness in several of my records.
