It is pretty clear that you have cut and pasted Peter's words and posted them as your own. Now lets all put this behind us and get back to what is most important..genealogy.

Ever heard of letting sleeping dogs lie? Peter happens to be a very well educated man, this doesn't make him a super guy. I never said Peter wasn't guilty of being rude and abrupt at times. I just happen to think your over zealous, and you get some sort of sick joy in your spoils of this testosterone war of sorts.. Enjoy it James and let it go, you got what you wanted.

I have refrained from getting into the middle of this current situation with the exception of a simple statement.....BASTA!!
At one time or another we have all.......
1) been offended by Peters comments
2) had an ongoing debate with Peter
3) complained about Peters behaviour
4) expressed concerns with regard to how this behaviour affects the open
forum. MYSELF INCLUDED.
Yet.........I have mixed feelings. I can not excuse Peters behaviour in the
past......but I also can not excuse your behaviour Jim. I do not feel it is
neccesary to insult a persons intelligence or ability. I am not going to attempt to second guess Peters motives, let alone yours. Whatever your
motives...in trading quips with you Peter fell hook, line and sinker. As to
his return to this forum, that is not your decision.
I agree with Amy, let sleeping dogs lie, or if you will, and please excuse
me if this sounds crass, the more you stir sh*t the more it smells.

in the past, when I become italiangenealogy's member, also with me Peter was rude.. but I have left that it knew to me, that spoke with me, that understood its errors.

Peter, has known to me, spoken with me, he has made excuses himself of its errors, and I have excused he, and now I can assert that I and Peter are optimal friends, as also I am optimal friend of anyone in this forum, and I think of being a kind person who has always offered a good contribute, also if in bad English

Now I ask myself: it is right that Peter goes ?

Or perhaps it comes to lack the sensibility towards a person who however has contributed to the increase of this website?

I ask myself again: it was better than, every time was a "out" message of anyone, who of competence, cancelled it simply?

I task that after some time all we would have learned to being more civil.

For my opinion, I can say that this has not been a beautiful show, and hope that it does not happen never more... and Peter lacks to me so much now ...

I understand perfectly suanj......and I to am asking myself if it is
just.......for Peter never to post again....he has much to offer......
and yet he must mind his manners.....this situation went to far.....
like a feeding frenzy at the zoo........
I spoke the truth, we have all had words and complaints with Peter,
myself included.....but this was ugly....

Preferisco scrivere in italiano perché in inglese....
Devo ammettere non capire....forse è stato un po' "rude" ogni tanto nelle sue risposte ma con me mai!
anzi è stato molto gentile e mi ha offerto il suo aiuto quando ho dichiarato che sono 4 mesi che sto' aspettando alcuni microfilm... che tra l'altro non sono ancora arrivati!
Percio' spero che tutto sia fatto perché Peter torni sul sito!
