Torrone Family

Postby vanessakennedy » 12 Oct 2012, 14:55

Does anyone have information on this surname....My great great grandmother had this maiden name and I am trying to find out more information. I believe I have extended family that I would like to search for. Her name was Laura Torrone born in Varzi Provence of Pavia, Lombardia. She had several sisters and a couple of brothers. Her fathers name Giuseppe and mother Sofia Berna.

Did you get films from Family History Library?
Did you write for info to Italy?

Someone helped me find a little more info. I never did write Italy because I got a little bit discouraged when some people told me that they take a long time to respond but I think I will write anyways. I plan to visit the Family History Library next week. I am very excited to see what I can find. I just know I must have some family in New York because that is where Laura lived. Thank you for reminding me about writing to Italy :)
