Robotti/Solero, Alessandria

Good Morning: I am trying to find out more about my grandmother, Margherita Robotti who was born in Solero, Alessandria in 1887. What I do know is that she was the daughter of Giovanni and Ludovica (no maiden name known) and had two brothers, Bruno (Perpetuo) and Gio. Batista. Gio. Batista became a priest and came to Rochester early in the 1900's and founded a church, elementary school and was the pastor associated with Auburn State Prison, in NY State. My grandmother came to Rochester to assist him in the rectory and to help with his work in the church. I have not been able to locate any information on Margherita other than her immigration, marriage and several census references. What I would like to find out is her mother's maiden name, birth date and if she had any other siblings and anything available on the rest of the family in Solero. I have checked Family Search.org but there is little information on Solero. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Did you already write to the Comune of Solero? With the info you have (year of birth name of the parents) they should be able to find her birth record
