Piccarello and/or D'Alessandro

Working on a family tree for a few years now, and I'm kind of stuck on my grandmother's side of the family. I know her great-grandparents came from (or remained in) Italy, but that's as far as I can tell.

According to obituaries from her aunts and uncles, the great-grandmother's name is Philamena (known as Minnie) Piccarello. She immigrated around 1900. Her great-grandfather is Michael D'Alessandro (possibly I'Alessandro, based on information I found last year).

Sorry for a lack of information, but I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the piece of history that I can't seem to uncover. Thanks in advance.
