Naturalization records

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Naturalization records

Postby Prose » 23 Apr 2013, 05:02

I am looking for my grandmother's (Rose Tartaglione) naturalization records with hopefully a picture. She came to NY with her family on August 29, 1916, from Naples (Caprodese)(Marcianise).

Rose Tartaglione
Raffaele Tartaglione
Philomena Tamariello
Angela Tartaglione
Raffaele Tartaglione

ship: Duca d' Aosta
August 29, 1916

She married Anthony Cuccaro 1930 in PA.

Thank you!

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how this naturalization record ties in with this family. Did you accidentally upload the wrong record?

Hi ERudita
If you look through the record in the middle of the record it says she came to the US as Rosalia Tartaglione in 1909

The Rosa on the passenger list was born in 1907, and the Rosa in this naturalization record was born in 1892 and married in 1911. I don't believe this naturalization record is for the correct Rosa Tartaglione. I believe the passenger list that suanj found is for the correct family. Also the Rosa Tartaglione Maddalena in this naturalization record is on the 1930 census with her husband Angelo Maddalena in the Bronx, NY, and the initial post indicates that Rosa T married in Pa in 1930 a man by the name of Anthony Cuccaro. The record you found is for a totally different family, as far as I can tell.
