My grandfather, Harry Rosario Messina came to the U.S. around 1903. He came from Palermo. He had 9 brothers and I think, 3 sisters. He came via Ellis Island, then Chicago and settled in Memphis, TN. This is all the information we have on him. I have a picture of his father and mother...no first names. Where should I begin? Ellis Island is the only place I know. I have a copy of the ships log where my great grandfather came in (John Diana) who also settled in Memphis, TN. We (our family) would love to find some of our relatives, which we understand came to the U.S. within a year or two of my grandfather....thanks for any help!
Theresa Messina Locastro

[ This message was edited by: theresamessina on 21-11-2002 14:17 ]

You must have come across the town of origin on ellis island records.Something is wrong here. Please give me the surname and date of arrival. The ships manifest will have the town listed I am sure. Peter
