My name starts with Di (DiFazio). The best I have been able to determine is that it could meen \"From\". I would like to know what my name meens, and from what part of Italy it is from?

Di Fazio is predominately a southern Italian surname while Fassio and Faccio are north Italian surnames of the base name Fazio from which all others are variations, alterations. The name is derived from the 12th century from the names Boniface and Bonifazio. Peter

Thank you for your response. Am I correct in assuming that the \"Di\" meens \"From\", as in The Fazio\'s from southern Italy? Also what does Boniface or Bonifazio meen in english?

Boniface is a historically famous first name for a Pope and there is a Saint Bonifacio or Bonifazio in Italy as well. Peter
