Searching the name \"Dicenzo\"

I am researching my family roots. My Great-Grandfather, Antonio Dicenzo, came to the United States sometime In the late 1800\'s. The problem is, he changed his name to DiCentes, so it is hard to trace any roots. Some of my relatives say his name was Dicenzo, but his VISA states Dicenzi. I know that he couldn\'t read or write, so someone else wrote it for him the way they heard it. Anyway, he was born Jan 4, 1856 and died Oct 27, 1948 in Maine. He was married to Caroline Lamusaica. None of my relatives seem to know where he came from or what his parents names were. If I could get his parents names, I could have more to go on. Any ideas on where to start? I\'ve checked many databases online and keep coming up empty-handed.
Thanks

There are 4 Di Cenzi currently residing in Italy with 3 in Rome and 1 in Taranto. There are also 12 Di Cenzo in Italy withg 10 residing in Abruzzi region and two in Rome. Since there are so few of both names perhaps one generic letter to all 16 persons in Italian or very simple english ( my name is. My fathers name is. I am looking for. etc.) since english is a second language in Italy. Enclose a self addressed envelope with a dollar for stamps. You say VISA .. but don\'t explain what you mean by the word VISA so I can\'; understtand what yoiu are talking about. sorry. Peter

Peter,
Thanks for the info. What I Meant by VISA was his ss-5, sorry for the confusion. My sister now has this, but I think it said he was from Aquaduck, or something like that. I have to get this from my sister to be sure. I can\'t seem to find this place anywhere on the map. I will write a generic letter to all, like you suggested. Thanks again.
Sonia

TGhere is no \"k\" in italian so aquaduck is totally wrong and sounds like but is not the correct spelling or name for that matter. When you get the town name let me know . Peter

Peter,
I went to the web page you told me about, but I\'m having some problems. I put the name in the first line and the city in the third line, and then pressed cerca. The results come back finding 9 localities. then I click on the red communes, and everything comes back finding no matches. How do I do this? Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to find addresses this way? I can put in any name and it comes back with the same exact results, even American names.?
It always says it found 9 results. And the same results are there no matter what name I put in it??

The www.paginebianche.it is a directory for the people with that surname in that town. Sometimes busines having that name are included in the listing. The name is followed byh the address and telephone numbers. If you change the name then anybody with that name in that town is listed. If you change the town then abybody with that name in another town is listed. Think of it as a telephone directory. Peter
