Looking to research my roots. <BR>I have only my granfathers name and where he died. <BR>Name: Andrea Greco <BR>Died: Termini Imerse or Palermo, Sicily. <BR>Could have been born there as well. <BR>I am guessing he was born around 1900. <BR>I have asked relatives in Canada and Italy and have been unsucessful <BR>with any info. I am not looking for living relatives (I have more than enough) but rather research my past. <BR>Thanks

In Italy, as you know you must have a full name and approximate year of birth and place of birth in order to obtain document such as a birth record but judging from your text you are not even sure where he was born. The only certain thing that I can divine is that he may have served in the Italian army as a young man and his records are made public after 75 years in the provincial archives of Palermo. Peter
