Really I read some thing as "... aglia.... llario" but I cannot read better of so;
the first word part could be "Taglia.." and the ending ".. llario" so the problem is to understand the middle part word....Regards, suanj

Occupation is a man's (Gabriele Mazzocca). Last name changed in San Vitaliano Italy to Mazzocchi. Maria (mfjp) will be posting a larger image of this birth act for me. I hope that will help.

I just don't see the beginning as "chin"......seems to be a consonant, vowel, consonant, consonant............. The more I look it, the more I'm seeing the first letter as a "Z."

Anyway, I'm keeping a list of all suggestions, since I'm really stuck on this occupation.

I also think it's Tagliasellario or Tagliasellaio. That is a person who makes and/or repairs saddles, or generally speaking, leather objects.
