Surname Martinucci

I am trying to locate information about my grandmother that came to the US in the eary 1900\'s from a town near Lucca (something like Calid di compito?). She told me once that she came over on a ship with Golda Meir. I have searched the Ellis Island Database and this one, to no avail. What can I do? Does anyone reading this know of anyone with that last name? <BR> <BR>Other family names of mine that I could not find information on were: Rosellini, Paolicchi and Ciardella

The town is Colle Di Compito, potale 55062. There are 18 persons surnamed Martinucci in Colle di Compito and 53 for the entire province of Lucca including Colle di Compito. Go to www.paginebianche.it and insert Martinucci in the first line and Colle Di Compito in the third line and click cerca and a listing of the 18 persons will show up by full name,address and telephone numbers, If you want the wntire province put in LU instead of Colle di Compito and the wntire 53 surnames will show up. Do the same for the remaining surnames you listed. Peter
