Manganiello

I am performing research on Manganiello family tree. So far I have been able to trace back as far as my great great grandparents, Deodato Manganiello & Maria Mazallo. I believe they lived in San Nazzaro, Benevento, Campania. My great grandfather Guglielmo immigrated through Ellis Island with his wife Emilia Caggiano and son Alexander in 1907. Any additional information or advise on digging deeper would be appreciated. Thanks.

In short civil records go back to 1800 and prior to that in church records to 1600 and nothing prior to that except for nobility and anecdotal stories. If you go to the Mormon church Family History Library nearest your home and order the microfilms back as far as they go. I do not believe church records have been microfilmed in their entirety. Peter
