I plan on sending the following letter to possible relatives in Sicily. Can someone please help me with translating this to Italian. Any help would be appreciated.
My name is Susan Bollinger. I am researching my family history. I am looking for any information that may help me in my research. I am interested only in learning more about my family.
My grandfather Vincenzo Dentici was born in Palermo in 1878. He married Anna Busalacchi of Sant’Elia in 1903. Vincenzo immigrated to America in 1903. He returned to Italy where they had two children, Carmella born in1905 and Gaetana born in 1906. Vincenzo returned to America in 1907. Anna and the two children followed him to America in 1912. They had eight more children in America, Francesco, Vincenza, Sebastian, Rosella, Salvatore, Mario, Giovanni and Maria. Vincenzo lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until his death in 1963.
Vincenzo’s father was Francesco Dentici born in Porticello in 1849 and died in 1881. Vincenzo’s mother was Carmela Megna, born in Palermo in 1849. Francesco and Carmela married in 1873. My grandfather Vincenzo had a sister Vincenza, born in 1874. I believe Vincenzo’s mother Carmela remarried in 1905 to Dionisio Locadi.
If you are related to Vincenzo Dentici through your own family, then I would appreciate any information about him, our shared family, or any relatives still living today. Please feel free to reach me at my mailing address or email address listed above.
Please pass along this information to other relatives whom you feel may be interested in helping me.
I apologize if this letter has reached you in error and we are not of the same family, but wish you and your family well!
Thank you,
