2nd largest genealogy Library in the World

A month ago I toured portions of a university library located in Provo Utah at Brigham Young University. I was impressed that they are rated as number two in the world.

They also have a extensive online book section of family genealogies. I brought back two books from Italy recently with a signed permission to have them scanned and hosted at their site at no cost.

Great site.....in searching thru the pages I came across this:

I tried to get a look at an obituary at that site....can't even get to a database search window. Looks like all I could do is subscribe to newletters.

You can.....but I had a hard time finding the window, it had come up behind the main screen... ...would need to go back thru the steps again to see how I did it........

I searched thru numerous obits......but had to stop.......making dinner now.......if someone else doesn't help with access......I'll take another look when I finish........

Happens to me all the time....especially when I'm exploring sites, I'll find something really neat, well.....sometimes I just fall into it.......but then I won't remember how I got there.........and that's without to much vino...

I guess I`m not having any luck exploring that site I got there,but I don`t know how to navigate it.I was hoping to be finally find my grand-mothers mom`s name.I only have till tommorow if it`s free till the 21st.

I checked Bevilaqua in all - only 6 obits, no luck.

Have we checked that surname thru Ancestry?? They have a large collection of newspapers as well...found a few articles mentioning my Grandfathers golden gloves boxing career....as well as a few skeletons I would rather not have known about!!!!!!

According to his children's (above) manifests he was in
New York.
The ultimate goal is to find Raffaele's wife's name.
Also can't find his manifest (her name wasn't on any of the known children's manifests.)

Will take a look into the newspapers....might take me a few days.......Thanksgiving and all. Mom insist on making cappelletties which is a three day event......as if Turkey and all the trimmings isn't hard enough!!

Don't feel bad..my dad can't remember his grandparents names either..I'm having a heck of a time trying to find his maternal side.

Managed to save some of the newspaper links before the trial was over. There were none directly related to the names you are looking for but I'll send them to you anyway for you to go over.
