Well, since Scibilia is not a common name, I am trying to find ancestry information and hope someone has any information at all. I have very little data so I don\'t have much to go on. I have been to all the geneaology web sites and nothing for my name shows up giving my Dad\'s name or my grandfather\'s name. thanks.

Also, doing a surname search on this web site, Scibilia came up twice. I then emailed both parties listed for the name and both emails have come back saying addresses unknown.

There are 225 cities, towns and villages with persons residing therein with Scibilia surname. The majority are clustered in Sicily and Lombardia and Piemonte and scattered in between. You need to know the town of origin for relatives and couments. Peter

well if you don\'t know a first name and can\'t recall the town of origin or have access to that info there is not much to do until you can emember a first name olf your father or grandfather. You can then check out the ships manifest and look up to who he was destined in NYC and maybe that will ring a bell. In any event lots of luck. Peter

my grandfather was Dominic (Domenico?) Scibilia. Ellis Island has 3 of them but none from Sicily, and they don\'t tell you to whom they were destined that I could find. Thanks Anyway.

and my father is Santo Richard Scibilia, still alive, born in the USA, goes only by the name of Richard. My grandfather married a Marie Lambertus, don\'t know if born here or not or even when. She died when she was in her 30\'s. My grandfather died sometime in the 60\'s i think. that\'s about all the info i\'ve been provided with so far from my family. I\'m working on em. thanks Peter.
