I have found a little information on my grandfather. What do I do now?
My Grandfather Paul Bianchi came to the US on June 7, 1924. His ship of travel was the Duilio. His port of departure was Genoa, and the manifest line was 0004.

All this information belongs to my family. My grandmother died when I was in the 8th grade at St. Mary's School in Delaware, Ohio. My father passed away when I was 26, shortly after the birth of my oldest son. He was the last grandchild my father held. My grandfather passed away before my mother and father were married. I never knew him. I love my family so much, and this has been such a blessing to have any information on the Italian side of my family. I would love to visit Lucca someday!

www.familysearch.org is an excellent site for finding out info about people, places and if microfilms are available for your town should you want to go back further.

You can only download a free software program to record the info on your family..or you can search the SSDI as well as other records.

Do you have any documentation that shows the town of origin? Parents names?....Naturalization record? Death record? Birth records of his children? SS application? Church records?

Lucca is both a city & a province. You need town of origin to trace the family.

It has been a long time since I have been able to get online. I haven't given up on finding information on my family. I would like to continue searching for my Grandparents, and any relatives I may still have in Lucca, Lucca, Italy. Grandfather: Paolo Bianchi born 09/28/1887. Immigrated to the USA on 11/21/1907.
