Larino Surnames Sago and Barbussi???

My interest in my italian heritage was sparked as a result of a discovery that Italian heritage Scholarships exist for students attending University. <BR>I am trying to find out about the Sago or Barbussi family. They were either from Larino/Camp0-basso (ie. Molise area). <BR>My great-grandparents were Anna Marie Barbussi born 1895ish married to Ettore Sago born 1890. Together they had one child in Italy and then immigrated to Canada sometime in the 1910\'s. <BR>Any info or advice on how to gather more information while having limited background to go on (family was secretive) would be muchly appreciated. <BR>Thanks.

I am sorry to say that there are no Sago or Barbussi in Larino, Campobasso or the entire Molise region but since you know your ancestros birthyear and place of birth you can write to the Ufficio di Stato Civile, Comune di Larino, Postale 86035, Provincia di Campobasso, Molise, Italy and request a copy of their brith or marriage record. You can enclose a self addressed envelope with $5.00 EURO or Canadian (The service is free but recommended that you send some money to give it priority). Write in Italian and go to www.italianancestry.com in part three for the form letters. Peter NYC
