Hi there
I am also looking for information on the Tuzi family, from Sora/Picinisco. My grandfather, Angelo Tuzi, was born in Sora in 1889 and was one of, at least, 6 children born to Luigi Tuzi and Domenica (nee Bianchi).
If anyone can help, I would love to hear from you.
grazie
Luisa

I would contact Italysearcher (Ann Tatangelo) who just happens to be an expert in surnames from Sora and researches in Frosinone. Very nice lady!

Awesome! I am going to begin researching my husbands family from Frosinone next (from San Donato) and Ann is the first person on my list to contact for help. I met with her a few years back for lunch when she was in Toronto and I was very impressed.

I can provide LDS film #'s for some of them. Ann Tatangelo has been of great help to me, too, and I met this lovely woman in Sora last year.

Thanks, Tomo.
I may not have listed my info in the best way, but I still don't see a connection. Here's a little better layout. Each line is a new generation from oldest to youngest, all in Sora:

Giuliano Castellucci married to Elisabetta Castellucci (no dates)
Son Domenico Castellucci, married Rose Oliva Porretta (no dates)
Son Giovanni, married Maria Giuseppina De Ciantis
(only have his date of death 24 Sep 1829)
Son Giuseppe, married Liberata De Gasperis
(his death 1 May 1836) (her death 3 Oct 1823)
Daughter Angela, married Francesco Antonio Perruzza
(her death 15 Feb 1854) (Franceso b. 6 Jun 1798)
Son Filippo Perruzza (11 Feb 1830 - 3 May 1879)

I still have a lot of work to do!

mlpolsinelli wrote:Wow...you've gone back pretty far. My grandfather Luigi Polsinelli married my grandmother Vincenza Gismondi. I have the Polsinelli name on both of their lines and the Tersigni name on both sides as well. Go figure! Also, I've been able to trace my Gismondi line back to Pescosolido. The oldest one is Carlantonio Gismondi from Pescosolido married to a Lugia Panacci from Pescosolido. Eventually the Gismondis moved to Sora. My oldest Polsinelli is a Nicola Polsinelli married to a Teresa Cerrone (on my grandfather's line) and a Loreto Polsinelli married to Maria Antonia Marchione (on my grandmother's line). What Tersigni's do you have? I have lots of them too!

Regards,

Mike

Mike--

My last name is Cerrone-- I've got about four or so generations of the family down, including some other branches of the family (DiMonte, mostly)... I am curious if you have any history on the family? I know mostly the family is from the Lanciano/Pescara/Abruzzi region.

Thanks--
Andy

Here's what I have of Tersigni:

Angela Tersigni married to Francesco Lombardozzi (no dates, but their son was a Domenico Antonio Lombardozzi born 9 Sep 1735 in Sora)

On a different branch, Luigi Tersigni (no dates) married to Apollonia Cataldi, and their daughter was Mariantonia Generosa Tersigni, born in 1799.

Do any of these Tersigni names fit into your research? They would have been in Sora during the second half of the 19th century.[/quote]

Are you saying there was a Luigi Tersigni? I have one in my tree, but I don't know any dates. His wife was Apollonia Cataldi and their daughter was Mariantonia Generosa Tersigni, born in 1799. Oh, no, you said 19th century! Your Luigi might be a descendant of mine?
