maandkel---Have you ever gotten a death certificate for Leonard D'anna. I know we are related to a D'Anna or Danna that was a principal or teacher at an Evergreen school in San Jose.
Thanks , MArlene

I have no information on the DiMatteo lineage. Just that my great-great grandmother Salvatora Vallelunga was married to Bartolmeo diMatteo in Trabia. They had 6 daughters that I know of, all of those families are in the states, I don't even know if they had a son. Hope to find that out this year when I get to Trabia.

Marlene, The only 2 Leonard D'anna's I know are my great grand father and my great uncle. My great grand father was a carpenter and he died around 1980. My great uncle is still living and now lives in coneticut. My great grand mother Josephine Rinella D'anna died in 1994 at the age of 96. their oldest Daughter who is my Grandmother is 92 and still livers here in san jose. Josephine and leonard were married at St. joseph's church in san jose.

"The Cancilla, Bondi and Caruso families lived in Southern Ontario (Barrie, Collingwood and Holland Landing) and ran Fruit and Vegetable businesses for years. Bondi family married into the Caruso family...still trying to sort out that one and the Cancilla's are also attached to the Caruso line."

Hello,
My Grand Parents came from Trabia - Salvatore Cancilla married Rosa Tortorrici. My Aunt married a Bondi and they moved to Pittsburg - our family lived in Port Hope Ontario and had a fruit market too! I want to go to Trabia next summer - I am sure there are lots of Cancillas there.
Nice to hear from anyone if they have any information on the Cancilla Family
thanks,
Joanne
