The best way to trace a family back to Italy is to start with the ancestor who came to the USA as an immigrant. Start with www.ellisisland.org and then work backwards to Teramo by going to the Ufficio di Stato Civile and requesting documents relating to your ancestor since you will have his full name and date of birth and obtain a brith record which will give youi his parents names and then you can request family certificates of the family composition.
