Looking for Pierro, Cozzi, DiMartino

Postby nvpierro » 20 Mar 2003, 16:19

I am looking for information on my great grandparents, Joseph Pierro and Evio Cozzi from Salerno, Amalfi area. They had five children, Andrea, Stella, Antonio, Josephine and Felecia. I know Antonio, Josephine and Felecia came to the United States, but don\'t know what happened to Andrea (male or female?) and Stella.

My grandfather, Antonio, arrived at Ellis Island, December 1905, at the age of 23. He was traveling with Guiseppe Cozzi and Elia DiMartino. Guiseppe was traveling to his sister Gaetana, address listed as the Oliver Faietta Co., New York City. Antonio and Elia were traveling to Pietro DiMartino\'s, (Elia\'s brother, Antonio\'s cousin) at 4-6 New Cambers (as best I can make out) St., New York City. I have no information on the Cozzi and DiMartino connection to the family. Can anyone help?

THANKS!

Do you happen to know the town of origin in the Salerno area since all records are in the town of origin along with relatives I might add. www.paginebianche/it is the directory to use. 1st line and 3rd line and click cerca. (surname, town and cerca).

The records are replete with people who came togther form the same town and the relationships for the most part were short lived as each went their separate way. They journied together for reassuance and convenience mostly and usually never show up in genealogy research. Peter
