looking for any Sistare\'s

I am looking for any information on the name Sistare . i know that 2 brothers left italy and came to america one went to the north and one came to charleston south carolina . i want to found out what part of italy they came from . please help me.

There is no listing in Italy for Sistare surname and there is no Sistare listed in the Italian dictionary of surnames. There are none in the telephone directories or surname distributions in Italy. There is, however, a l isting for 6 SIDSTARE persons immigtrating or returning to the USA and if you go to www.ellisisland.org and look them up in the ships manifest (upper left hand corner for each one) and you may catch one that came from Italy as an immigrant since they maybe USC already from previous immigration. Please let me know. When you find the town of origin then gert back to me. Peter
