Yes, ofcourse. Thank you Marty. I was reading the "s" as an "f" and I asked one of my sons who is pretty cluey with languages and he thought the word might be something like pastore.

I am going to start a new thread for Michelangelo and Teresa as I'm a little confused as to what year Michelangelo may have been born. Would value your help Marty.

Carmela Romeo's Death Record Index 57

Postby AngelaGrace56 » 15 Jul 2013, 10:31

Can someone please translate Carmela Romeo’s Death Record for me (Index 57 Image2191).
Link: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/T ... 1211340491
(It looks to me like they may have included Carmela’s late husband Pasquale Toscano’s parents instead of Carmela’s? Not sure? Are Carmela’s parents mentioned anywhere?) Thank you. Angela

Since this post I have learned that Pasquale's parents were Nicola Toscano and Anna Maria Fucile so POSSIBLY this record was suppose to read "daughter of the late Raffaele Romeo (not Toscano) and the late Teresa Pannella???" Still not sure about this. Maybe someone who chances upon this post and has Carmela Romeo (born 1814-1817) married to Pasquale Toscano in their family history can either confirm or negate this for me. It would be helpful and appreciated.

GAETANO BAFUNNO AND ANTONIA GIANNONE

Postby AngelaGrace56 » 24 Apr 2014, 21:42

GAETANO BAFUNNO AND ANTONIA GIANNONE

I am hoping that someone may have the abovementioned couple in their family history and can confirm whether (or not) this was a second marriage for Gaetano?

The Gaetano Bafunno mentioned above was the son of Antonio Bafunno and Rosolia Sacco and he was born in Saponara (approximately 1823). (Death Record Index 10 – April 1906) The death record only mentions one wife, Antonia Giannone.

I have three children born to this couple (so far):
Vito Bafunno, November 1859 (Index 139)
Tiberio Bafunno, December 1862 (Index 107)
Luigi Bafunno, January 1866 (Index11)

My snag is that I have a Gaetano Bafunno in my history for whom I have not been able to find a death record. He was also the son of an "Antonio Bafunno", and was born approximately 1823, but as yet I have not been able to establish his mother's name. He was married to Francesca Nigri/o who died in April 1854. It is QUITE POSSIBLE that both these Gaetano's are the same but I don't have, at this stage, any source to prove this. Maybe someone who has viewed some of the earlier LDS films can help me with this.

Thank you for reading this post. Angela
