Unfortunately, I have not found him. I have searched from 1871 through 1881 :-)
Ok, thank you. He must have been either born before then or someplace else. Or i suppose it's also possible that he wasn't their biological child.....

Or... in the stories handed down it was a confusion with the middle names of Enrico

I will keep looking...

I also have a photo of him that he dedicated on the back to my great uncle Louie. So, at least i know that Ettore was the name he used, but you are likely right. Thank you for your continued effort!! :-)

If it helps, i know that Ettore married a woman named Josephine (don't know last name) and had a son named Luigino (who married a woman named Viola).

I believe so. The photo is dated 18 Sept 1949 from Torremaggiore. Assuming it was a fairly recent photo, Luigino looked to be about 25-30. So that would be 1919-1924. I've attached the photo so you can see for yourself....

Great photos! :-)

Can you repost the one of Ettore using www.postimage.org ?
It would give us the opportunity to enlarge the image to read the notation on the right side. I can see a date of 1949 on that one as well.

ALSO... someone may recognize the uniform (if you do not already know the particulars) and that may provide additional clues and direction for information.

When you upload the image to postimage.org - scroll down to the URLs and copy the URL for "Thumbnails for Forum1" - then paste it here...

Yes, we have some great volunteers here who may be able to help with the identity of the uniform!.

The note on the photo looks like it is written to someone. It is signed "Zio Ettore" which translates to "Uncle Ettore"... :-) And it is dated 1949. The phrasing is confusing me... Hope someone else with take a look!

If you do not get a response in a few days (since this is an older posting and several pages long)... you might want to start another topic requesting just the translation and identification of the uniform. :-)
